Specifications: put up in 45 pound spools. Spool orders require several weeks for shipment. Staple length 2.5-3.5 inches (62-87 mm). Fiber count 54s (29.5 micron). $12.00 per pound |

Dyed Hat Black Merino Wool Top, Product #748 This product is our response to requests for a finer, dyed black product. We call it Hat Black because the felters who have found our regular Merino useful want a commercially dyed product for making hats. While this is a longer staple Merino wool than is used for spinning worsted, the finer micron lends itself to felting. Specifications: put up in 45 pound spools. Spool orders require several weeks for shipment. Staple length 2-3 inches (50-75 mm). Fiber count 70s (19.5 micron). $16.00 per pound |

NEW! Scoured Light Grey New Zealand MERINO wool, Product #60 Over the years we have heard from a lot of folks looking for natural shaded Merino wool. We bought some in the scoured form with the idea of processing it, but we haven't had any luck accomplishing that task. That's the bad news. The good news is we've finally gotten around to giving it to our web guy and posting it on our Internet site as is. Collected by a small coloured wool coop in New Zealand, it was scoured together in a range of lengths and colors for a soft light grey. It's also great for over dying. Specifications: Scoured, varied grey shades. Staple length 2.5-4.5 inches (60-80mm). Fiber count 60s (24.0 micron). $7.50 per pound |

| BATTING |

 |
 |
Pennsylvania Quilt Batting, Product #922PA For years we have done business with a small, quaint mill in rural Pennsylvania by buying their excess wool and helping them process their raw wool. The Pennsylvania Quilt Batting comes in 5' by 6' batt form. The wool is of medium quality and is grown in Pennsylvania. It has been scoured and carbonized to remove all the vegetable matter before being carded into batt form. While the fiber is short, it should fill a quilt and our felting customers may enjoy it too. Specifications: comes in one, two or three pound units. Thickness varies with weight. Three pound thickness is shown in photo. Staple length 0.5-1.5 inches (12-37 mm). Fiber count 54s (29.5 micron). $10.00 per pound |
